The AudibleHealth AI respiratory screening solution uses advanced artificial intelligence to detect specific disease signatures in the sound of a person’s cough.
This Clinical Decision Support software is available to healthcare professionals around the world to rapidly detect contagious diseases and contain outbreaks.
Patients simply cough into the smartphone interface for about 10 seconds. The sample is sent to the cloud for processing, and the result is ready about 30 seconds later.
The solution can be used from a range of locations— at home, at work, at school, outdoors, during or before a doctor’s visit, or in a telehealth session.
How It Works
AudibleHealth AI combines a short cough recording with cloud-based acoustic analysis to return respiratory screening insight to the healthcare professional.
The healthcare professional makes the screening available to the patient through the digital AudibleHealth AI workflow.
The patient makes a short intentional cough recording through the smartphone interface. No invasive sample collection is required.
The sample is processed in the cloud and the screening result is available in approximately 30 seconds.

Respiratory diseases can affect the airways, tissues, airflow, secretions, and other physical characteristics of the respiratory system in different ways. Those changes can influence the acoustic characteristics of an intentional cough.

From Respiratory Change to Acoustic Pattern
The intentional cough carries information shaped by the respiratory system, including structures from the diaphragm through the upper airway and sinuses.
Different respiratory illnesses can affect mucus, inflammation, airflow, airway constriction, cough harmonics, and other characteristics in different ways, creating identifiable patterns in the data.
